Prince Kuhio

These condo grounds are very well-tended, and the pool and BBQ area are very pretty. Built in 1969, the resort’s clean for its age, but in some places its age does show in things like rusty gutters. Some units are more updated than others, and they vary a lot. Located across the road from the ocean, this used to be a hotel but was converted to condos, so expect some bizarre room layouts and bathrooms with showers only—some big, some tiny. The ocean views here are not that great, but if you want a glimpse, get a unit above the first floor and closer to the road. Larger one-bedroom units are in the middle section of the building will cost you more than the ones at the front of the building), while studios are in back. If you are looking at studios with numbers ending in 30–37, then you may want to opt for a park-facing, odd-numbered unit, but you won’t have a/c in those. Some long-term rentals here. Washer/dryer in some units. If you snag a decent unit, it’s a pretty good bargain. Studios with A/C are 338–450 sq. ft., 1/1 units are 600–720 sq. ft. There is also a 2/1 penthouse (875 sq. ft.) with a large roof deck. 3-, 4-, 5- or 7-night minimum from main contact listed, which is for a large group of owners. Prices decrease for longer stays, and because you are dealing directly with the owners, they may be more flexible with the price. The agent listed below has similar rates.
