The only condominium resort on Maui that’s on a semi-private beach since public access to it isn’t very practical. The beach is very sandy and clear most of the time with good swimming when calm.
The resort has reasonably sized 1/1s downstairs and oddly laid out townhouse-style 2/2s on the second floor with lots of stairs. Oceanfront two-bedroom units (Buildings A & F) have an additional bath. Though the buildings aren’t overly attractive, the resort exudes a good feeling and is quiet for its size. The large lanais have no privacy, despite their brochure’s claim of “private lanais.” (Perhaps they mean others can’t walk on them, but your next door neighbor can see you through the wide slats.) Building F is our favorite with the beach two steps away from the ground floor units. There are a limited number of units with A/C that will run you $25 extra per day, and you have to call them directly to arrange those ahead of time.
If you get an updated room, this resort is a Real Gem. Rates for 1/1s (750 sq. ft.) are $180–$370, 2/2s (1,290 sq. ft.) are $315–$590. The large price spread covers the view and quality of unit. 3-, 5- or 10-night minimum, depending on time of year. The second agent listed has better prices, more updated units, a $35 check-in fee (but no resort fee), no daily housekeeping, no room safes and a 4-night minimum.
