Inn Waimea

by | Mar 10, 2012

This property consists of four rooms in an old plantation style house near the beach. The home was built in 1948 and was once the residence of a local pastor. In 2001 it was restored to its current all-suite, cozy inn in the middle of Waimea town just off the main highway. The red dirt of the area often coats the house’s exterior, but the inside is clean, though it could use some updating. Each suite is decorated in its own way with a separate sitting room in keeping with the old Hawaiian style. One second-story unit has an ocean view. Another first-floor suite has a large double Jacuzzi tub. There is one ADA-accessible room here, as well. There is no phone on the property. There are no private lanais here either, but there is a nice front porch. No laundry on site. No daily maid service here, but if you ask for a linen change or more coffee, they are happy to oblige. There are many chickens around (think of ’em as organic alarm clocks). The rooms (approx. 350 sq. ft.) sleep two with a 2-night minimum, but if they have a single night open between reservations, they will gladly fill it. Check-in is down the road a short drive. They also manage a couple of other homes located off-site with full kitchens.
