Update—Resort closed for more than a year now open: They are now accepting bookings from December 20, 2019 onwards. We will be back after the new year to do a new review of the resort after we let them settle in.
This is the only beachfront resort on the north shore. Some of their units are as close to the water as you will get on Kaua‘i (25 feet). We especially like units in A, F, G, I and the front J units. The resort is secluded and somewhat isolated, near the end of the road on the north shore. All units are two-bedroom (although the bedrooms aren’t completely walled off, and second rooms have a single twin bed). This allows for only three people per room. Extra persons over 3 years old will add $50 per day to the room charge (maximum four people total). Room updates in 2015 included new furniture for all units and kitchen updates in premium units. Their location on Kepuhi Beach is outstanding, and the attention to detail is admirable, but you may find some rust on metal items in units. (Being this close to the ocean, it’s unavoidable.) While the lack of room telephones might make arranging your day slightly awkward, others will welcome it. Cell phone coverage may be spotty, depending on your carrier. (You can use the phones by the small pool, which is also where the laundry facilities are, so you won’t be bored between loads.) 2/2 units (850 sq. ft.) are $287–$586. Garden views are also quite nice. 2-night minimum.
