The Renaissance Honolulu has a beautiful layout and design inspired by local artists that opened in 2024, incorporating soothing textures and colors that emphasize the “Spa” in “Hotel & Spa”. It did a good job curating its vibe since the location isn’t what you’d consider the most spa-like on island (venture outside, and you’ll see what we mean), but it is right next to Ala Moana Center (the largest outdoor mall in America), if you’re in the mood for shopping.
Choose between traditional hotel rooms or their “Renaissance Residences,” which are geared more toward living than just traveling, and include a luxury kitchen (complete with premium appliances), washer and dryer, deep soaking tub and even a bidet.
To see how they got their name, check out their on-site Name Spa complete with cold plunges, steam rooms, sauna, and a range of wellness services. If you’d prefer to make your own spa experience, then book a cabana, grab a piña colada and lounge at one of their pools or hot tubs.
Thankfully, they offer daily transportation to a couple nearby spots like Ala Moana and Waikiki Beach—a good thing, because overall, although the hotel itself is a nice place, it isn’t very conveniently located.
Residences and rooms are 289–641 sq. ft., suites are 560–1,243 sq. ft.
