This pink and white building feels like O’ahu condos because all the rooms have full kitchens, but it’s run like a O’ahu hotel, so we’re calling it a hotel. The Ilima Hotel décor is pink (surprise!) and blue and modern.
It has some endearing qualities, including the warm staff and focus on Hawaiian culture. They also offer ukulele and kukui nut lei making classes, which can be very popular, so sign up at the front desk when you check in.
Spacious-feeling room prices remaining low make it a Solid Gold Value. Studios are 530 sq. ft., 1/1s are 650 sq. ft., 2/1s are 770 sq. ft. The 3/2 penthouse with washer/dryer is 1,450 sq. ft.
