This condo property on the south side of the island means that it’s a long way from other towns. The condo complex is mostly timeshares (though you won’t find any salesmen around) in the heart of SeaMountain, a very remote region in the southern part of the island. The grounds are pleasant, and units, though not overly remarkable, are clean and some are nicely updated through this agent. Think of this as an alternative place to stay if you want to explore Hawai‘i Volcanoes National Park (28 miles away) but still want to stay near the shoreline where it’s more tropical (though the units are not beachside). It’s quiet and peaceful.
Lots of stairs at this property, mostly in the units themselves. Washer/dryer in most, others use coin-op laundry. The prices feel a bit high to us considering the remote location. You may find owners renting units for less, but the décor/quality will vary. Closest (not cheapest) grocery shopping is in HOVE. Studios are 475 sq. ft., 1/1 units are 700 sq. ft., 2/2s are 1,000 sq. ft. 2-night minimum.
