Although it’s shed its name as the Trump International Hotel Waikiki and joined the Hilton family, many elements keep the Ka La’i Waikiki Beach feeling familiar (for the time being—renovations are ongoing). For example, pale whites and earth tones (still) abound here, and the rooms, while upscale modern, can feel a tad stark. The lobby, pool and lounge, which are located on the sixth floor, are above the tree crowns and a great place to watch the Friday night fireworks shows over the Hilton Hawaiian Village.
