Royal Kahana

The design of this crescent-shaped building has its pros and cons. On the pro side, all units have at least an ocean view. The downside is that the shape captures the wind in such a way that it whips through the halls with surprising force—results can be as minor as an annoying howl in the window frames, to as frustrating as unintentionally slammed doors and lost hats. The outer wings of the building are studios that can vary greatly in décor (some are more updated than others), while the center 2/2 and 1/1 units tend to have updated appliances and fixtures. The 1/1s feature king beds and king pull-out sofas, while the 2/2s have both king and queen beds, as well as a queen pull-out sofa. The heated pool is a popular spot, since their beach is only around seasonally. (Summertime is your best bet to find some sand.) Studios are 431 sq. ft., 1/1s are 777 sq. ft., 2/2s are 1,141–1,287 sq. ft. 2-night minimum.
